When its mission is completed, the SeaCat surfaces and sends its GPS position via Iridium satellite link to the Control Station while staying at the final position. New commands can be sent to the SeaCat, e.g. to redirect it to a new rendezvous position.
At the rendezvous point, the SeaCat is set into manual mode as soon it is within WIFI range of the Control Station. Due to its excellent manoeuvring capabilities, it will be steered alongside the support boat. Using a sling, either thrown at the SeaCat or attached by a boat hook, the SeaCat is captured. Once secured onboard the vessel, the SeaCat can be switched off.
